Ubuntu 8.04; TightVNC

TightVNC, able to communicate with RealVNC. It also can remote desktop on Windows base system from Linux Ubuntu (*only tried on WinXP).

TightVNC installation
sudo apt-get install tightvncserver
sudo apt-get install xtightvncviewer

Run TightVNC viewer
at Terminal enter vncviewer, example:
user@computername:~$ vncviewer

small pop-out screen, enter ip addss and passwd

done

Ubuntu 8.04; Extract RAR file

To get extract .rar file in ubuntu 8.04 with system default archive manager.

sudo apt-get install unrar p7zip p7zip-install

Ubuntu 8.04; No audio on firefox flash video

Ubuntu 8.04, no sound while playing flash video on firefox. Paste the code in Terminal.

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install libflashsupport

extra:
Install flashplayer plug-in for firefox.
sudo apt-get install flashplugin-nonfree

LXSplit on Ubuntu 8.04

Download LX Split at http://lxsplit.sourceforge.net/ (*source: http://www.freebyte.com/hjsplit/)

Download .deb package. I’ve jst dl’ed “i386 Debian package: lxsplit_0.2.4-1_i386.deb” and saved on Desktop.

At Terminal,
$sudo dpkg -i /home/user_name/Desktop/lxsplit_0.2.4-1_i386.deb


Wait for the installation done.

How to use; run on Terminal
Join files, run this
lxsplit -j directory/files.001

Split files, run this (*assume split into 15M per pack)
lxsplit -s directory/files 15M

WCG Official Titles (Part 2) Announced

Recently, World Cyber Games (WCG) site just announced their second part of official game list. Guess what! Need For Speed (NFS) is not in the list for this year WCG official game title. I was LOL’ on it when receive the news from my fren. I LOL’ed bcuz “someone” may doing his hardcore practice after the release of new NFS title aka Undercover. I LOL’ed bcuz it came at the right time when I had decided to get myself inactive in NFS. I’ve playing for 5 years, and won some medal and podium. The NFS community isn’t growing at all year after year. It’s really the right time to put a side and more focus on my career and life.

Was nothing to do after done with WTA Tour on TV (*damn.. Alize Cornet lose to Jelena Jankovic.. sad sad). Suddenly 曹格 pop up in my mind, reminds me something, to find out the place he born. I was trying to find out on facebook at the fan page. There should be some info about his personal info. But end up I search in google. Guess wat.. I found it in wiki.. AND? huhu… I found the answer… He was born at Kota Belud, Sabah, Malaysia not Miri or some place la.. plsss don’t pandai pandai la.. oK?… . I’m not big fan of Gary, but I do like some of his song, really nice.

No OLDTOWN? omg..

Last week went to Miri, that was my first visit in 09′ after I drove back my new car back in May 08′. I took visit to my buddy family, Derek. It’s been a while didn’t met up with them. Enjoy myself at their home especially the BBQ nite with my buddies, Des and Derek. Enjoying some great food, specially the pork .. huhu!
The “best” part of the town… sorry is “city” (*i hav no fishing idea why they wanna make it city, whatever). Me and my frens were trying to find a good place to sit and relax, hav some chit-chat together, but then there is no OLDTOWN cafe in the town.. omg. Damn small big city wei.. but don’t hav our favorite cafe, OLDTOWN. In KK-Sabah, they even got 2 franchise. End up we simple search around some cafe, but the food was… still OLDTOWN best, affordable price with nice environment and nice drink and food. I checked at OLDTOWN cafe website, there no franchise in the town, should inverse one if have money…hahaha..

huhu! Chinese New Year again.. getting 1 year old again.. aiseh..
This year is Ox year, all the bad luck.. “soi”.. leave it, entering another brand new year, hope the Ox can bring me a lot of good luck in my career, healthy, and others…. gaming?

When comes to Chinese New Year eve, of cuz cannot leave it without having a family gathering together to have a nice food on this eve nite. Ordered some food from restaurant, and also my mom cooked some delicious food too. The table filled with food.

At 1st day of CNY, earlier morning hang out with some frens and took visit to Mei Ling’s house. Took some Lion Dance picture..
